Secretariat of Strategies

Duties and responsibilities of the Secretariat for Strategies are:

 

  1. Coordinates the process of drafting, monitoring and developing national strategies and Action Plans which fall within the scope of MIA;
  2. Provides administrative-technical services for inter-institutional strategy groups;
  3. Ensures that strategic and planning documents are drafted in accordance with regulations and procedures set by the Government;
  4. Collects information and data from other institutions for the implementation of national strategies under the responsibility of the MIA, as well as the analysis and evaluation of that information;
  5. Prepares analytical reports for the National Coordinator;
  6. Monitors and reports on the performance of activities arising from the action plans of the strategies;
  7. Reports to the international organization Greta, TIP report,
  8. Serves as a point of contact for the European Monitoring Center for Drugs and Drug Addiction;
  9. Proposes changes and improvements in the systems and mechanisms of national strategies through the National Coordinator;
  10. Advises the National Coordinator on the steps to be taken towards the implementation of strategies;
  11. At the request of National Coordinator, prepares periodic meetings of inter- institutional groups for the implementation of strategies;
  12. Ensures that the strategic and planning documents developed by the MIA are in line with the general priorities of the Government and ensures consistency between them;
  13. Conducts periodic analyses on the progress of the implementation of the Action Plans of all national strategies under the responsibility of the MIA and formulates recommendations for amendment;
