The Ministry of Internal Affairs would like to clarify some news circulating in the media that the MIA’s vehicles are being used in the electoral process taking place today in the Municipality of Podujeva and Municipality of North Mitrovixa.

On this occasion, we notify the public that the vehicles of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are given for use to the Central Election Commission for the organization of elections. We, hereby, let public know that this is a practice that during the organization of elections in Kosovo, CEC requests the Ministry of Public Administration to provide support through giving vehicles in use for the purpose of elections.

Since the former Ministry of Public Administration has ceased to exist within the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it is the responsibility of the MIA to give the CEC vehicles for use. We notify the public that these vehicles are given for use upon the approval of the Secretary General of MIA, Mr Lulzim Ejupi.
