The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Internal Affairs inform all public officials of the Republic of Kosovo that the first salaries will be disbursed today according to Law No. 08/L-196 on Salaries in the Public Sector, which entered into force on 5 February 2023.

The commissions for determining the allowances provided for by this law and the by-laws deriving thereof have already been established and are collecting data from the relevant institutions regarding the officials who may/will benefit from such allowances, including the commissions for specific conditions allowance, market conditions allowance and expert allowance.

Despite the intensive work of the commissions to determine the allowances, the process of collecting data and finalizing the lists is ongoing, therefore we inform all public officials that the aforementioned allowances for February will be paid retroactively with the salary for March.

Therefore, following the completion of the data collection by the commissions and the finalization of the lists of officials who will benefit from these allowances, they will receive the corresponding allowance for February along with the salary and allowance for March.

We invite all institutions to send the data requested by the relevant commissions without delay, so that the process can be completed as soon as possible.
