In regards to the situation created with the delay in providing with personal documents, primarily due to the lack of passport material, the Ministry of Internal Affairs would like to inform all citizens that the Civil Registration Agency is carefully managing the available quantities. This is being done through analysing the justified and verified cases with supporting documentation, by treating with high priority the health related categories, students, diaspora and state representatives.

Due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, we are currently facing a lack of raw material for the production of documents. Not only the Republic of Kosovo is facing this problem, but all the countries that are supplied with the basic material for the document production through the same line and country.

We want to assure all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo that we are making maximum efforts to provide the necessary material, and thus enabling the production and supply of personal documents within the deadlines and without any delay, therefore we are asking citizens for their understanding regarding this situation.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs will notify the public opinion as soon as we are supplied with the sufficient quantity of basic material for the personalization of documents.
