The vehicle registration process from illegal registration plates to RKS registration plates commenced in all Vehicle Registration Centers, with the first vehicle registered in Prizren.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs announces that the vehicle registration process from illegal registration plates to RKS registration plates commenced today, in the morning hours.

The centers were open in all municipalities for interested citizens to get the necessary information and on the first day, the first replacement of registration plates by RKS registration plates took place in the Vehicle Registration Center in Prizren.

VRCs will be available to citizens on daily basis to provide information and services for replacing old registration plates with RKS registration plates.

On this occasion, MIA encourages all citizens to take advantage of this opportunity, taking advantage of the facilities offered by this process, such as Customs tax, administrative tax at the Vehicle Registration Center, registration plate fee, and fee for obtaining the vehicle registration certificate.

MIA is, through VRCs, continuously responding to citizens’ requests for additional information and will keep up with the outreach campaign in the coming weeks, aiming at providing fair information and encouraging citizens to register their vehicles with RKS registration plates by 31 October 2022.
