Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, is paying an official visit to France

Today, Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, is paying an official visit to the Republic of France, where he met with the Director for Continental Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France, Ambassador Frédéric Mondoloni.
On this occasion, Minister Sveçla thanked Mr Mondoloni for the continued support provided by the French Government, as a close and strategic partner of Kosovo, especially by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France, in supporting Kosovo's membership in international organizations, including the International Organization of La Francophonie.
Minister Sveçla confirmed the commitment of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to fight crime and corruption, as one of the main priorities, and requested the further support of France for Kosovo's membership in INTERPOL, thus strengthening the joint fight against organized crime and increased security in Kosovo, the region and beyond.
Undoubtedly, special emphasis was placed on the importance of visa liberalization, reiterating the request that the citizens of Kosovo not remain the only isolated citizens in the Balkans.
While Ambassador Frédéric Mondoloni reconfirmed the will of France to continue and strengthen cooperation between the two countries and expressed happiness that the Government of Kosovo is stable and has the priority of strengthening the state, through the fight against organized crime and corruption, as well as state capacity building.
