The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, received in a meeting the Head of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Ms. Anna Rostocka.

On this occasion, Ms. Rostocka congratulated Minister Sveçla on his reappointment, emphasizing her appreciation for the successful cooperation so far and the sustainable partnership between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and IOM.

During the meeting, Minister Sveçla presented the priorities of the new government mandate, with particular emphasis on the areas of migration management, reintegration and strengthening institutional capacities, which are also areas of common interest with IOM. In this context, opportunities for further extending cooperation through concrete commitments were discussed.

In conclusion, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to advancing mutual partnership, in order to address migration challenges and promote sustainable solutions in accordance with international standards.
