The Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Xhelal Sveçla, met with Mr. Tanigaki Hiroyasu, the Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of Japan in Kosovo.

Initially, Minister Sveçla welcomed Mr. Hiroyasu to Kosovo and expressed his gratitude for Japan’s continuous support throughout all stages of the state-building process of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as for its active role in Kosovo’s membership in important international organizations.

On this occasion, Minister Sveçla also briefed him on the overall security situation in Kosovo, as well as the recent situation with wildfires. He further thanked Mr. Hiroyasu for Japan’s ongoing support through various projects aimed at strengthening the capacities of the Emergency Management Agency.

On his part, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Japan in Kosovo, Mr. Tanigaki Hiroyasu, commended Kosovo’s achievements in recent years and expressed his readiness to further deepen cooperation between the two countries. Mr. Hiroyasu pledged that Japan will continue to support the Republic of Kosovo in the future as well.
