The Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Xhelal Sveçla, held a working meeting today with civil status officers from the municipalities of the Mitrovica region, as well as with the respective officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs engaged in the implementation of the Law on Vehicles and the Law on Foreigners, which entered into force on 15 March this year.

 

During the meeting, Minister Sveçla thanked the participants for their attendance and commitment, emphasizing the importance of continuous coordination between the central and local levels, with the aim of ensuring the unified and efficient implementation of the latest decisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

 

He further underlined that the role of officers is essential for the smooth progress of this process, highlighting timely and accurate information of citizens and cooperation with them as key elements for achieving the intended results.

In this context, Minister Sveçla emphasized that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is working with full institutional capacity to ensure that the initiated process will proceed in accordance with the planned dynamics and the applicable legal standards.

 

He added that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is in close coordination with the municipalities, the Kosovo Police and the Civil Registration Agency, with the aim of ensuring the full implementation of legal obligations by all involved parties.

 

It was also announced that, in order to facilitate the implementation of this process, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has established dedicated support teams, which will provide assistance and clarifications for any ambiguities that may arise during the processing of requests, thereby contributing to increased efficiency in administrative procedures.

 

The Ministry of Internal Affairs remains committed to the full implementation of the applicable legislation and to strengthening inter-institutional cooperation, to provide the highest possible quality services to citizens.
